Following on from previous meetings, the 14th Iberian Meeting on Prions will be held in Madrid on May 21 and 22, 2026, at the Assembly Hall of the Blas Cabrera (former Rocasolano) Institute of Physical Chemistry (119 Serrano Street) (https://iberianprion.org/2026/ )

The invited speakers are renowned researchers in the areas of Prion Structure and Biology, Prion Diseases in Animals and Prion and Prion-like Diseases in Humans which are the main subjects of discussion of the congress.This multidisciplinary meeting brings together scientists, technicians and students from various areas who have developed activity and interest in prion diseases, from the structure of the prion protein, pathogenesis and pathology, genetic and clinical studies, to the prevention and control of transmissible spongiform encephalopathies.

The organisers hope to have colleagues from various disciplines in Portugal and Spain at this meeting, as well as students from various nationalities and PhD students in this area of specialty. It is an opportunity to bring professionals together in a One Health perspective.
